On 19 October 2026, France 3 Grand Est, the regional newsroom of the French public broadcaster France Télévisions, published a feature on Doodraw, the animated drawing app co-founded by Écrin Digital's founder Alexis Chân Gridel and illustrator Elodie Mayade.
Written by journalist Grégoire Schott after a video interview, the article, titled « C'est fait par des artistes, pour des artistes », tells how two young French creators built a drawing app from South Korea in which every hand-drawn line comes alive, with no generative AI involved.
The piece covers Doodraw's launch on 1 September 2026, its first 100,000 downloads reached without advertising, and the role of the artist community in its growth. It also mentions Écrin Digital, the studio Alexis runs in Troyes.
Doodraw is designed and engineered by Alexis Chân Gridel, from its custom rendering engine to its website, with the same attention to detail Écrin Digital brings to every project.
