Captain Bob
Development support before the App Store launch
(Fig. 00)Captain Bob, Development support before the App Store launch
(01) Context
Captain Bob helps people find and organise outings near them, from hikes and sports to workshops and family activities, then get there together. Ahead of its App Store launch in October 2026, Écrin Digital provided development support on the iOS app: fixes and features driven by TestFlight feedback.
(02) Challenge
An outing is several apps glued together: discovery, booking, carpooling, group chat, payment. Each extra step loses people. Captain Bob's promise is to collapse the whole journey into one flow, which means a dense product that still has to feel light and friendly on a phone.
(03) Approach
Work from real feedback. Each TestFlight round produced issues and requests from testers; we fixed and shipped them in short iterations so the team could reach a stable 1.0 on schedule.
(04) Chapter
The product we joined
Captain Bob gathers discovery, publishing, carpooling, messaging and card payment around a single object: the outing. Members find what is happening nearby, publish their own experiences, free or paid, offer seats in a car, and talk to organisers in the app, with sign-in through Apple or Google.

(05) Chapter
From TestFlight to the App Store
Our contribution covered the last stretch before release: fixes and features prioritised from TestFlight feedback, shipped in short iterations until version 1.0 went live on the App Store on 10 October 2026.
